Excuse me, but it's time for me to focus on my to-do list; I got such a huge leave from work and I didn't profit of it D: I must make up with the wasted time ASAP!

I'm working on the Schneizel/Kanon (♥) pic and while looking for reference pics on Google I stumbled over some quizlets.
Since I'm someone who likes procrastinating I obviously took them.
YAYYY! I'm really happy with this XD I mean, not that I particularly liked the character, but I think she suits me *_*

| WAH! "Antique Bakery" Doujinshi! |

I guess you guys should know Antique Bakery.
It's a series that deals with a childhood trauma suffered by the protagonist, Tachibana, that decided to open a sweets-shop to find the guy who kidnapped him when he was a kid.
Together with Tachibana we met Ono, the gay patissier that confessed his feelings to Tachibana once in high-school and got horribly rejected, Chikage, Tachibana's attendant who looks like a mobster but he's actually a moron, and Kanda, a young ex-boxer who can't box anymore and decides to revive himself as a patissier under Ono's guidance.
The series is a kind of thriller with some dark moments and gives shonen-ai feelings, mostly because of Ono's presence, but it's prettily free from actual gayness (but for a bit when Ono, "The Devilish Gay", seduces clueless Chikage) so you can enjoy the nice plot and delicate depiction of the character's psychological troubles also if you despise the genre.
The series is 4 volumes long (licensed) and it's also available in anime autoconclusive format, 12 episodes long.
What I didn't know is that Yoshinaga Fumi, the original mangaka, in a typical Yaoi fangirl spree released a good amount of doujinshi, continuing the manga plotline by herself.
You can find the 10 doujinshi scanlated here (there's one missing), but the ones I really suggest you are the last ones (the others are fun too! They perform Ono's first time and various fantasies from Ono to a group of fangirls that attend the store) that perform an actual "sequel" to the original story:
Eien Wa Arimasu Ka (Is there something like For Ever?) : Ono slept with an asshole who actually bet him up because Ono dumped him.
To avoid troubles for Chikage, he ran to Tachibana for help.
Tachibana took care of his wounds and such, and his kindness together with Ono's rage, make him ending up molested by Ono!!
Then Ono realizes that he did so out of his frustrated feelings and Tachibana is pretty aware of it.
"Listen Ono, we'll never be lovers. This way, we'll never break up."
Akuma No Youna Otoko (The Man like the Devil) : Ono returns to his appartment together with Chikage (under Tachibana's request), to find that his lover didn't left the place.
Chikage gave him a few of his intimidating faces and the guy of course ran away, leaving pointless threats behind.
Here Chikage decides to give in to his feelings and "be nice" to Ono, also if he's aware that Ono's nature is not that of a faithful and dedicated man.
At the same instant, Ono realized just how selfish and egoist he is-- Being perfectly ok with it.
Aoi Tori (The Blue Bird) : Ono moves to a new apartment and the guys helped him.
Ono, Chikage and Tachibana had dinner together to celebrate the new house, and as Tachibana felt asleep 'cause he's drunk, Ono and Chikage tried to sort out their relationship.
At night Tachibana had one of his nightmares, and Ono is surprised to see Chikage rushing to take care of his troubled "Young Master"... Ono realized how bad of a person he is: he's not just happy to have Chikage to like him-- He wants to like him ONLY.
Tameiki wo Tsukinagara (He gently sighed) : Ono cheated on Chikage with a confused man he met in a gay bar, then caught a little fever from him.
Tachibana offered to take care of him, and Ono decided to confess his troubled situation to Tachibana: he really like someone, and he's jealous about him, but he's still the same perv and unfaithful bastard as ever.
Tachibana realizes that the guy is hopeless, but he still hopes that he can be happy with this new lover... And so hopes Ono.
Tanabata No Yoru (Tanabata Night) : It's Tanabata night and Tachibana brings yutaka to everyone to give a traditional flavour to the shop.
He helped everyone wearing their clothes and since he's there he told Ono that he realized that he's dating Chikage and profitted to scold him.
Fortunately he also gave them their blessing, so it's all ok.
But for Ono's real feelings.
I really enjoyed those; if you are a fan of the series or just happened to like it, really suggest you to giva them a peek :D |

I wanna make a webcomic about a struggle among various candidates for the Student Council's leadership, with hints to Sengoku period.
As I know the roles of each candidate (thank you, Kujibiki Unbalance XD), I have no idea of its practical institution: for example, how are the rappresentatives usually elected? During which period of the year? Do students vote for their favourite or it's a teachers choice? How much weight has the preference of previous members for their successors..?
I don't know if Japaneses organize things differently from here >3>

| Update about Dae's recover! With pictures! (nothing gruesome, don't worry XD) |

Ok guys, it's 0135 now, I should be sleeping (or having some snacks) but first I wanna update you about my wound.
After 20 days I removed all the stitches on my forehead! YAY! Big me, I can finally wash my hair XD
So, at 1600 I went to my doctor for the check-up, she checked on me, poked at the wound, then realized that the wound was getting ugly and it was going to be difficult to remove the stitches (she also compiled some papers for my work, LOL, Italian Bureaucracy).
She sent me to a close-by ER, where a fellow surgeon worked, to check on the wound.
I arrived at the ER around 1830, and the guy got me in.
AND THEN HE STARTED TORTURING ME ;_; He SCRATCHED AWAY the whole scab of the wound, cleaning and disinfecting it while SKINNING ME ALIVE.
I WAS ABOUT TO PASS OUT.
Mom: Woah, I guess this hurts...
Doctor: *nods* It hurts a lot.
Dae: *held her breath to not scream or cry*
Doctor: Wow, this girl is pretty stoic ^_^
Mom: She is, isn't she ^_^ ?
Dae: *in her mind* (I hate you all T_T !!!!)
So, now my wound is all cute and clean and I can show it to you <3
( Also if there's little to see... I have plasters on the 'free' part and the stitched part is covered by hair ^_^; )
--Then, while I was waiting for my turn, both at the doctor's and the ER, it was filled with feverish people with flu.
OMG, stay away from me ;___; It would be a tragedy if I got a flu right after I recovered from a car accident T_T |

| Hello, Fall/Winter Anime Season 2009! |

Ok, my animelist is mostly focused on making up with all the dropped anime from previous seasons and such, but looking around I couldn't help but feeling the otaku spirit rising back in me-- Could it be that convalescence is turning me back into a pseudo-hikikomori XD ? The weather here is so nice too, it's a pity spending all my time looking at anime... ANYWAY, here are the series that I'm following right now:
Umineko No Naku Koro Ni [infos] [watch]
I couldn't bear to watch the "Higurashi" seasons because of all that loli-moe shit, also if it really intrigued me... "Umineko"'s characters looks decent, so I can bear to watch it.
I'm still at episode 3, but I'm enjoying this.
I hope Maria would get eaten alive by a flock of rabid seagulls, but it's not very likely to happen...

Don't ask. Let me believe that "alternative" animation could still have a meaning in 2009.
Seriously, I'm watching it because I'm intrigued by the psychotherapy hints... I'm not veryu hopeful on this title, though.

So, I got hooked on another lovely action-packed manga, Kongou Bancho.
It's full of MANLINESS, nice characters, muscley men and all the things that people should love in a healthy society.
Anyway, those two are Akira and Takeshi, two brothers bond by !!RIVALRY!!
And this is their father:

So, I got to wonder about their MOTHER, 'cause, you know, getting intimate with a giant doesn't look very comfortable.
Then I was browsing Mangafox forum and I caught an explaination on the matter:
"i think they were created in a lab somewhere b/c there is no way in hell a normal woman would be able to mate with someone the size of a mountain. his sperm would probably be the size of a small shark (and twice as deadly)."
